Arrests

There are some football players that you meet and expect to someday see them in handcuffs (point in case, Maryann's own or say Sean "Pot is my life" Williams, but others that would never harm a fly. The story about Gosder Cherlius and DeJuan Tribble surfaced back in early July, and was quickly forgotten, since there was nothing to report. But I guess when you are facing a 25-year police veteran and two 1st round NFL Draft Prospects, you get greedy.

As Dave and I discussed tonight, this is really a non-story since it will quickly be proven that breaking up a fight with the owner of the bar is not assault, but I thought I would mention it. Both players have very good reputations around campus and in the program, and the "gentleman" pressing charges who "sucker punched" a Statie doesn't seem to have much of a claim, but none the less a lot of people are talking about it.
