This past weekend when the Red Sox bombed in Detroit and an offbeat golfer named Bubba captured the Masters, you had to dig deep down in the sports section to have read of Jerry York’s incredible achievement, leading Boston College to its third national hockey title in five years, his fourth at BC and fifth overall. York’s quest for, and achievement of excellence, has taken root in Chestnut Hill in a long and storied career complete with 913 wins, the second most in college hockey history.
